Ramadan Interfaith Dinners

Manitoba Fellowship Organization has taken big steps towards global peace by organizing annual Interfaith Dialog Dinners during Holy Ramadan months two times during the last two years with people from religious, civic, political, educational and community leaders. To reinforce the friendship, and dialog between diverse communities, we gathered around the same table with people from all walks of life of varied communities and faith groups to emphasize on the values such as mutual understanding, deep respect, love, and peace. Manitoba Fellowship Organization organized the second Interfaith Dialog dinner at Canad Inns Fort Garry in October 2007.

Values like love, peace, brotherhood, forgiveness, compassion, altruism, mercy, spiritual purification.We believe there are many common points for dialog among devout Jews, Christians, Muslims and other faith traditions. By coming together at one table, as people of various faiths and cultures, we proved that this is a situation of great richness, with remarkable opportunities for mutual understanding and for creating a society rooted in common values. It is with this intention that we continue to organize multicultural and interfaith dinners or iftars. It is hoped that these iftars serve as a good reference for educational institutions, religious organizations, media, government agencies, and other community groups in Winnipeg. Iftar is the communal meal held after sundown when people from the Islamic faith, who do not eat or drink anything from dawn to dusk during the holy month of Ramadan, break their fast.

Children's Day Celebration
